I'm interested in buying an Electro Smart. How do I find out more and where do I get one? Our representatives will come to your premises to give you a free demonstration. They have all completed a national training programme and are fully qualified to answer any questions you may have. The product is only sold through authorised distribution companies so you are guaranteed a genuine Electro Smart. If you decide to purchase the product after this presentation, your representative will organise your free installation and cash discount. 3. Who else makes a product like this and is it any cheaper? No one else makes the same product with the same benefits, however, there are other similar products on the market which customers may confuse with the Electro Smart. We have outlined them all and explained the differences: A Timer A timer has been designed to turn your lights, pool pump, sprinkler system, etc, on and off. It is not designed to save electricity, which is why there are no reports to substantiate savings. A timer turns your geyser off whether the water temperature is hot or cold. An individual may think they are saving because his geyser is off for a period of time. However, the problem arises when the water is cold when the geyser switches off. When the timer puts the geyser back on, any savings are lost because a geyser can use more power and take up to two and a half hours to reheat up cold water which can take up to 2 hours. Electro Smart always ensures the geyser switches of at maximum temperature, not just at a specific time. This means that your geyser will never have to heat water up from cold, allowing you to enjoy your savings and still have hot water 24 hours a day. The Ripple Control The Ripple Control is installed by municipalities into your distribution board. It is designed to switch off your geyser, usually at peak times (morning and evenings). Municipalities install these to save money as Escom often charges them up to seven times more for electricity during peak hours. Unfortunately, individuals are not given any warning and often end up with cold water. Many municipalities only put the ripple control on for up to 15 minutes, as they are aware clients should be enjoying the hot water for which they are being billed. Electro Smart can be legally installed with the Ripple control to benefit both the customer and save money for the municipality. Electro Smart is able to keep the geyser off for much longer periods during peak times and still ensure hot water. You and your independent agent will discuss and decide when you need hot water, and the mechanisms will be set as it is needed. A Pre-paid Meter A pre-paid meter enables you to pay for electricity in advance. This means that you don't have to pay a basic charge, only for your actual electricity consumption. Electro Smart can be installed along with the pre-paid meter. Those clients who have this option, are excited as they can see the savings in 24 hours! A Solar Heater A solar heater can save you up to 40% or more on electricity consumption. However, clients usually find that it takes far too long to recover their costs. Some solar heaters cost over R20 000. Even if you pay only R10 000 for a solar heater and your electricity account is R200 a month, it can take you over ten years just to break even. Electro Smart gives you a 400% return on your money before our 10-year service agreement expires. In addition, a solar heater relies on the sun whereas our product does not. 4. What happens if my routine changes and I need to bath or shower at a time I don't normally need hot water? Electro Smart has a simple override control button which shows whether the geyser is on or off. All it takes is the press of a button and you will be able to shower or bath immediately at any time of day or night. 5. What happens if I have a problem with my Electro Smart? Electro Smart comes with a two year guarantee and a ten year service agreement. We have over 120 contracted electricians to install our product around the country. If you have a problem with your product, we will simply give you the number of the local electrician in your area who will be able to provide you with the back-up you require.
